KIU Law Students Graduate From Law Development Center

Best Law Development Center (LDC) student for the 2019/2020 academic year Martin Gidongo has, along with other KIU Law students, graduated at the institution’s 48th graduation ceremony held today, June 11.

The Law students were conferred upon a Diploma in Legal Practice in a virtual ceremony necessitated by the COVID-19 restrictions which were re-imposed by the government last Sunday.

Gidongo graduates top of the class after being the best of four First-Class attaining students in the country. He was recognized by the KIU Law Society for his efforts.

The ceremony was presided over by the Director of LDC Frank Nigel Othembi, who said the high failure rate at the institution showed the poor quality of students who are sent to the institution and vowed to keep LDC as the final gateman of Law education and training in Uganda.

Over 90% of the students who sat for the LDC exam failed.
