KIU, Main Campus – Former KIU Guild President and Law Graduate Jacob Musiimenta has hailed the Iddi Basajjabalaba Memorial Library (IBML) for its role in his academic success, resulting in his Bachelors of Law degree.
Musiimenta, who was one of over 2,500 students to graduate at KIU’s 25th graduation ceremony at KIU Main Campus, Kansanga says the historic IBML helped him in doing research.
“I studied and completed my course and due to the available facilities like the well-equipped IBML, I was able to do more research and appreciate the law,” Musiimenta says.
He praises KIU for instilling in him different values and making him more knowledgeable, inside and outside the lecture room.
“I have acquired a plethora of knowledge ranging from different aspects academically, politically, socially and economically, attained from within and outside class,” Musiimenta says.
“I will use this knowledge to inspire others from my district in Kiryandongo and those around me and instill in them the values of integrity, endurance and parsimony to be able to live a responsible life,” he adds.
Musiimenta says he intends to pursue further studies so that he can not only become a top lawyer but an all-rounder as well.
“I intend to join the Law Development Center and attain the postgraduate Diploma in Legal practice and Masters’ in different fields other than law in order to be well acquainted with knowledge from different spheres,” he reveals.
He implores all students to join KIU if they want to achieve their academic dreams.
“I implore them to come and join because it’s well-endowed and has all it takes to enable one to excel both academically and in other aspects. It’s not by mistake that it’s the leading private university in the country,” Musiimenta advises.
