WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF LAW, KAMPALA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, UGANDA.

Introduction

The School of Law, Kampala International University (KIU) was accredited by the Ugandan Law Development Council in October, 2002 with an intake of sixty five (65) students from the East African states comprising Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The first set of students graduated in November, 2006 and proceeded to the Law Development Centre (LDC), Kampala for their post-graduate Diploma in legal training and practice the same year. Years after then, the School of Law has received students from almost all African Countries and beyond.

Since the inception, the school has been committed to providing a conducive environment for teaching and learning, thereby producing excellent graduates capable of meeting the needs of the legal profession and competing favourably in the labour market. The essence is to mold individuals capable of serving in different vocations of legal professions; legal practitioners (the Bar), judicial officers (the Bench), state attorneys, law facilitators, corporate and tax lawyers, legal advisers, consultants, company secretaries, and the academics.
